Blog Introduction

Hey there! You have found your way to my personal blog! If you don't know who I am, my name is Chad Cotton, I am a 23-year-old software developer out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Originally born in Leominster, Massachusetts, I moved to Oklahoma to pursue a degree in Math and Economics from the University of Oklahoma to break into banking. Whilst doing so, I ended up discovering a passion for programming and computer science and decided instead to concentrate my studies on that.

Currently, I work as a Backend Web Developer at Hobby Lobby, where our team works on creating microservices for their ECommerce Website. My day-to-day programming tends to focus on Java development, more specifically Spring Boot, but outside of that, I enjoy programming in languages such as Go, Rust, and Javascript.

This blog will be centered around my professional interests, which, as you may have surmised, consist of topics in the field of Software Development. I plan on posting about new technologies I find to be interesting or important to the industry, opinion pieces, and really whatever I find to be something worth writing about.

If you would like to reach out to me personally or learn more about my experiences as a developer, then there are pages available on this website to do so. Thank you for reading, and hope to see you around!
